George/Georgia Kartas is a writer, researcher and performer living on unceded Wurundjeri land. Their work investigates the relationship between theoretical/quantum physics, postanarchism, and the occult as a pathway to radical re-worlding. George co-runs Thin Red Lines, a quarterly poetry event in Naarm, and their writing has appeared in Antithesis Journal, Cordite, no more poetry, and The Lifted Brow. In 2023 they debuted their poetry-performance lecture show, ‘True Myths’, at La Mama Theatre. George is also a bookseller and tarot reader, and the Reviews Editor of Kalliope X. Created as part of the 2020 Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellowship, their collaborative poetry-sound album with Lucas George, Mythamorphosis, is out now.Madison Griffiths is an author, artist and producer. Her debut book Tissue (Ultimo Press) was released in 2023, and is a boldly poetic meditation on abortion and what it has the power to represent. She is the co-producer of Tender, a podcast that tracks the journey of individuals as they decide to leave an abusive relationship. In 2022, she was awarded the Walkley Foundation Our Watch Award for Excellence in Reporting on Violence Against Women, alongside co-producer, Beth Atkinson-Quinton. Her work largely centres around the lived experiences of women, especially those whose realities are shrouded in stigma, opposition and rebellion.
